| | Hollywood Nobody is Lisa Samson's first young adult novel in many years. It is the story of Scotty Dawn, a fifteen-year-old girl with sass to spare. She is one of the most delightful voices in Christian lit I've ever read! I loved it. This has the feel of chick lit for teens, but without all the "ick" factor that is in regular chick lit.
I used to review books for Multnomah Press, and occasionally they'd send me some of Melody Carlson's "Diary of a Teenage Girl" series. This book reads like those books, sort of, but without the annoying "handwriting" font, and the delightful addition of the "Hollywood Nobody" blog that Scotty writes. Fans of Carlson's books would surely love Samson's as well.
I truly enjoyed this book! I will be looking for the next books in the series, for sure!
